Paul Moller, Chairman of the Board
Dr. Moller founded the Company and has served as the Company's
President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board
since its formation. He holds a D.A.M. (Diploma Aircraft
Maintenance) PITA, 1957; D.A.E. (Diploma Aeronautical
Engineering) PITA 1958; Master of Engineering, McGill
University, 1961; Ph.D. in Aerodynamics, McGill University,
1963. Dr. Moller was a professor of Mechanical and Aeronautical
Engineering at the University of California at Davis from 1963
to 1975 where he developed the Aeronautical Engineering program.
In 1972 he founded Super Trapp
Industries and was also Chief Executive Officer of that
subsidiary until it was sold in 1988. He also organized and led
the group which developed the Davis Research Park Complex
between 1975 and 1983.
Bruce Calkins, General Manager
Mr. Calkins earned his BS in Management from the University of
San Francisco while working for Bechtel Petroleum in San
Francisco in 1983. Mr. Calkins also holds an AA in Drafting
Technology from American River College in Sacramento. A native
of northern California, Mr. Calkins has worked in both public
and private sector positions, managing technical teams of
between 10 to 100+ specialists. Immediately prior to joining MI,
Mr. Calkins oversaw technical services at all federal
installations west of the Mississippi River for Intergraph
Federal Systems, a Fortune 1000 computer systems integration
firm. He was responsible for technical support of
high-performance computer systems, software and consulting at
over 120 client installations. In addition he oversaw many
project-specific activities including software product
development, ISO 9000 production standards, hardware marketing,
product planning and large-scale installation and benchmark
programs throughout the US and parts of Asia.
Jennifer Moller, Office Manager
Ms. Moller became MI Office Manager in 2001. She graduated from
UCDavis in 2000 with a B.A. in Communications and Organizational
Studies. While attending UCDavis she accumulated 3 years of
office experience working at Coldwell Banker. Ms. Moller is a
commissioned Notary Public.
George L. Stevens, Chief Engineer
Before joining the company, Mr. Stevens worked for GSE Inc. as a
project manager and systems designer on the development of a
2-stroke diesel engine. Prior to this, Mr. Stevens had been a
member of the technical staff of General Research Corporation
where he was responsible for design, analysis, and simulation of
various state-of-the-art technology control systems. While
attending California State University, where he received a BS in
Mechanical Engineering, he was the Project Leader on the
development of a hybrid electric automobile which won national
honors at the Department of Energy Hybrid Electric Vehicle
Challenge, including Best Overall and eight first place awards.
Mr. Stevens also holds BS in Electronic Engineering and
Technology from Brigham Young University.
Stacey Horigan, Controller
Mrs. Horigan earned her B.S. in Business Administration with an
Accountancy Concentration from The California State University
at Sacramento in 1998. Prior to joining the Moller team Mrs.
Horigan was employed with Hallmark Properties, a management firm
dealing in the Hospitality & Residential Industries. Mrs.
Horigan facilitated the financial operations within the
accounting department for the six different divisions.
Danielle Dill, Bookkeeper
Mrs. Dill graduated with two degrees in Hotel Restaurant
Management from the Lycee d' Enseignement Professional Hotelier
in Saint-Chamond, France. She gained valuable experience while
working in five star hotels in France, England and Germany. She
has traveled throughout Europe and speaks three languages. Mrs.
Dill moved to Davis in 1998 and joined our accounting team in
2003.
Company Consultants and Advisors
Mike Shanley, Member of the Board
of Directors and Director of International Sales & Marketing
Mr. Shanley has been a pilot since 1969, serving with the Royal
Australian Air Force in Vietnam in 1971 and has been an
enthusiastic supporter of the Skycar project since 1987. Mr.
Shanley has a BA in English Literature from the University of
Queensland, Australia, is the author of the novel "Strela" and
was a magazine publisher and editor from 1987 to 1996. He is
presently co-director of a security company based in the United
Kingdom providing security at Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and
Stansted airports. Mr. Shanley is also Chairman of Shanley
International Ltd., a company set up specifically to facilitate
trade with China.
Mike Griffith, Industrial Engine
Project Manager
Mr. Griffith joined the company in 1987 as Manager of Engine
Development. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from
the University of Saskatchewan in 1964. Mr. Griffith has a 30
year history in rotary engine development including Program
Manager and Development Engineer at John Deere's Rotary Engine
Division (1984-1987), Senior Technical Specialist in the Rotary
Engine Division of Curtiss-Wright (1979-1983), and Rotary Engine
Project Engineer for Outboard Marine Corporation (1966-1974).
Charles H. Guenther, MI Audit
Committee
Mr. Guenther has consulted for the principals of the company for
over 13 years. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from San Diego
University, an MBA in taxation from Golden Gate University and
is a Certified Public Accountant. He worked for a "big ten"
accounting firm for four years, followed by 20 years as the
Controller for a major west coast agri-business.
Peter Levin, Production Manager
Mr. Levin joined the company in 1968. He earned his B.S. in
Mechanical Engineering from University of California at Davis in
1969, and his M.S. from University of California at Davis in
1970. Mr. Levin initially worked as a project engineer becoming
Project Manager on numerous product developments within the
company. In 1975 he became manager of the company's SuperTrapp
muffler production. He remained Production Manager when
SuperTrapp Industries was formed as a division of the company
and later sold. He left SuperTrapp when it moved to Cleveland in
1995.
Otto Scharft
Mr. Scharft has 25 years in engine development at OMC where he
worked for over 10 years as Group Leader in rotary engine
research. He was responsible for a number of new rotary engine
designs.
Bob Shebusky
Mr. Shebusky has 27 years in engine development at OMC where he
worked for 12 years as a Group Leader in rotary engine
manufacturing processes. He was a significant contributor to the
specific OMC rotary engine that was placed into production by
OMC and purchased by Aerobotics.
Hal Sliney
Dr. Sliney was Chief Scientist of the Materials Section, NASA
Lewis Research Center. Dr. Sliney developed a new solid
lubricant and has worked closely with Aerobotics in the
development of the Aerobotics patented composite use of his
coating.
