Marsha’s career has revolved around executive assistant positions in Kansas City for local, national and international corporations. She began as a secretary in the legal departments of Kansas City Title Company and Shook Hardy & Bacon, the chief counsel for the American Tobacco Institute, but the lure of a diverse and interesting position soon beckoned and she joined Medical Products Inc., as Assistant to the President, where besides her duties as office manager, she also was responsible for presenting the company’s Diathermy machine at national medical conventions.

This was followed by a post as office manager at the Kansas City branch of International Housing/Red Sea Building Co. She eventually rose to the position of Executive Vice President, working closely with Bechtel and Aramco in their Houston offices in the design, production and shipping of modular homes for their complexes in Saudi Arabia. When International Housing acquired rights to a patent for a product for the hearing impaired called the MicroLert, Marsha’s responsibilities expanded to include making presentations to major hotel and motel companies.

Marsha’s last career path lead her to General Standard/Major Brands, a distilled spirits and beverage company with corporate offices in Kansas City and branch offices in St. Louis, Columbia and Springfield, MO. As Assistant to the President/COO, she attended Board Meetings, prepared PowerPoint presentations and planned and attended the corporate retreat for senior management, and was the only female invited to attend the corporate retreat.

Marsha Jacobs is now retired and lives in Henderson, NV, and spends unlimited quality time visiting family and friends in Kansas City and children and grandchildren in Seattle and St. Louis.
