Jeff McGrady received his Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Akron University in May of 1981 before commencing his breathtaking career. From 1983 to 1988, Jeff worked for TRW-Nelson’s Stud Welding Division (in Elyria, OH), where he excelled in such undertakings as reviewing design concepts with customers, writing documentation of programmable logic controls and computer numeric control logic, supervising the assembly of production units and testing and installing the equipment at customers’ facilities. From 1988 to 1989, Jeff went to work for Invacare Corp., in Elyria, OH, where he not only developed the first programmable powered wheelchair but was responsible for the quality control and manufacturing processes of these chairs. He also implemented annual cost reductions exceeding $1 Million. It was during this time that McGrady completed his Masters of Business Administration degree in Systems Management from Baldwin Wallace College. It was also during this time that he worked with Cleveland Clinic in the development of a wheelchair gel-seat. McGrady then went to work for Maytag (the Hoover Company, N. Canton, OH) where he was unparalleled in his efforts to define and develop automatic systems for their facilities in Texas and Mexico, as well as designing and coordinating the installation of equipment into Hoover’s facilities. From 1992 to 1996, Jeff worked with the Emerson Electric Corporation’s Ridge Tool Company in Elyria. There, he served as the Functional Manager of the R&D Plumbing Pipe Fabrication Development Engineering Group, managing teams consisting of marketing, engineering, manufacturing and sales. While there, McGrady also wrote project charters, business plans, department budgets, project schedules, manpower requirements and strategic growth reports, and presented monthly project status reports to Ridge Tool Officers. all while being involved in the development of eight global electrical mechanical platforms for the Pipe Fabrication Group. Over the last decade (1996 to 2006), McGrady has worked as Product Manager with (Illinois Tool Works) ITW-Miller Electric Mfg. Co. (Appleton, WI), growing their gross margin by 40% in two years and decreasing product development time by 50%, as Marketing Manager with ITW-Vortec (Cincinnati, OH), producing 5% business growth while reducing the 1998 marketing budget by 12%, as Marketing Manager with (Berkshire Hathaway) Campbell Hausfeld (Cincinnati, OH), growing their operating income by 113%, and as Market Manager for ITW-Evercoat (Cincinnati, OH), growing the core business by 35% in revenue growth in 2005 while achieving double-digit growth in the gross margin. He also spent two years as President of Marketing Innovations, where (among other outstanding achievements) he initiated new advertising campains and signed over 100 new distributors for clients.
